Google's DeepMind AlphaGo Beats Top European Go Player

Google's DeepMind (purchased in 2014 for $400 million) developed a neural network algorithm to play Go, one of the oldest games in the world. See Nature's awesome video/article published today. As co-founder, Demis Hassabis discusses, imagine how awesome it'll be when we can apply an equivalent of AlphaGo to medicine and let the algorithm tailor treatments for patients? I'm going to bet that we'll see that happening within 5 years (or less)!  Congratulations DeepMind! Of all the things that Larry Page discussed during 2014 TED Talk about what to expect from Google, I got most excited about DeepMind...and viola, DeepMind delivers!
